The place where your questions, get answered! –

Dear P.,

I recently advanced my career into sales management with a new company. My last company subscribed to Creative Selling. I was skeptical, but my manager kept on handing it out each month. Now, I think it’s great and have since signed up my entire sales team. Is there anything I can do to get them to embrace the idea of learning from Creative Selling sooner rather than later?

Kim,

Atlanta, GA

Hi Kim,

First, let me congratulate you on the advancement of your career path.

Now for your answer!

Instead of just passing Creative Selling out, turn it into a training event. Pass it out prior to your sales meeting. Assign a story to each member of your team. Have them read it and prepare a three minute review of the content for the sales meeting ant their peers.

Give them a chance to teach the rest of the group about the topic. Make sure they include an example of how they could use that skill or concept in your business model.

Have a Q&A session and make it fun.

The best part about this is, salespeople who came looking for answers will gain them and the know-it-alls will learn something new while trying to show the group how smart they are. Everybody wins.

Good luck and all the best, P.
